My first post, and how fitting that it should be on the eve of... and about the biggest hip-hop street festival in emzantsi......... Back to the city! babe!
This will be the fourth installment of the most monumental achievement in mzantsi hip-hop.... period.
I hate placing geography on hip-hop, cause clearly as a universal energy it has taught me that i'm a universal being and bound by no tag of being south african or african and i don't see asians, europeans, indians or whatever just universal beings, but here in this space called emzantsi, it's the one event that brings about universal hip-hop in its truest essence,and without boundary..... simply put its a portal into that universal energy.
...ok! back to matter at hand, ...Back to the city came about as the brain of child of a hip-hop being called Ozmick.... if u don't know Oz , ..u better ask somebody! ..Damn where u been?
This is a festival that showcases all of hip-hops fundamental elements, u have live perfomance (mc's, beatboxers), breakdancing, dj's, graffiti artist ,street fashion, street entrepreneuralism trade and business all out on show at one gathering at one time.
This year promises to be the biggest festival, yet..... rain pls stay away... it's raining as i'm typing this and its 12:30am.
